چکیده
Objectives Recent studies have shown that interleukin-23 receptor (IL23R) polymorphisms confer susceptibility to ankylosing spondylitis, psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis and Crohn’s disease. The A allele of rs1004819 was found in a significantly higher frequency among patients suffering from these diseases compared to controls. We aimed to determine the affect of rs1004819 in M694V homozygote FMF patients.

Objective(s):Familial Mediterranean fever (FMF), an inherited autosomal recessive disorder, is frequently present among individuals of Mediterranean origin. Differences in the clinical manifestations of FMF between different ethnic groups have been documented. The aim of the present study was to determine the most common characteristics of FMF and the relationship between clinical findings and ...
متن کاملبررسی موتاسیونهای ژن MEFV در بیماران مبتلا به تب مدیترانه ای فامیلی در ایران
Background : Familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) is an autosomal recessive disease, which is characterized by recurrent short episodes of inflammation in serous membranes. It is most prevalent in Western Mediterranean population. MEFV is the only gene currently known to be associated with this disease. Previous studies revealed that 6% of Iranian Jewish residents in Israel were carriers of MEFV ...

Results Heterozygote carriers associated with abortive and mild FMF features is 18,72%, and 1.29% of patients with clinical features of FMF are without mutations. In some FMF patients “mild” MEFV mutations are associated with inflammatory attacks (P369S: 0.49%; E148Q: 5.09%; A744S: 0.74%). Genotypes E148Q/A744S and E148Q/P369S are found rarely. We have revealed the complex FMF cases with follow...
متن کاملrs1004819 Is the Main Disease-Associated IL23R Variant in German Crohn's Disease Patients: Combined Analysis of IL23R, CARD15, and OCTN1/2 Variants
BACKGROUND The IL23R gene has been identified as a susceptibility gene for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in the North American population. The aim of our study was to test this association in a large German IBD cohort and to elucidate potential interactions with other IBD genes as well as phenotypic consequences of IL23R variants. METHODS Genomic DNA from 2670 Caucasian individuals includi...

Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) is a fairly common inflammatory disease in communities with mediterranean origin. It is characterized with autosomal recessive, recurrent short-term episodes of fever, peritoneal, pleural, synovial membrane involvement and skin lesions. The aim of the present study was to investigate possible associations between FMF and Ala-9Val polymorphism of MnSOD and Pro1...
